He somewhat did tho? In what I see in the novel—when Taekjoo escaped, blew up his mansion (which caused Zhenya to get injured) and left him without even looking back (then Zhenya shouting Taekjoo's name in the top of his lungs) somehow gave a karma vibe and it's satisfying (for me). Taekjoo always kept Zhenya in arms length even tho they both agreed to be together (their relationship happened trough negotiation and transaction), neglected him and never gave him the treatment of someone in a relationship would do, and when Taekjoo got diagnosed with amnesia and forgetting all their wholesome memories it's somehow satisfying seeing Zhenya going crazy and anxious when Taekjoo started treating him like a stranger that might bring danger to him, and by the end of the part 2 novel Taekjoo literally called him out for all the abuse Zhenya did to him then left him alone in the island.
said “rightly deserved” for a reason. There’s a difference between consequences and karma—karma implies proportional justice. What you described is just Zhenya experiencing loss of control and emotional consequences, not punishment equivalent to what he did. His anxiety, desperation, and abandonment don’t come close to the level of abuse he inflicted. That’s not karma... that’s psychological irony at best, not justice.
Yeah I understand what you had said, but how can we even expect a character from a dark themed story which literally evolves around in violence and crimes itself, and both the characters are literal enemies who has to unalive each other to have some kind of lawfully justice? Even Taekjoo himself knew how every abuse Zhenya did to him are part of what an actual enemy would do to dominate their enemy who step their foot to his territory (you should know how every agents treat and torture a spy and enemy who infiltrated their territory), Taekjoo knew he could never use any of that abuse to get back for what Zhenya did when Taekjoo himself literally also did everything to try to kill that person, not until Taekjoo lost all his memories and couldn't believe the idea that he's dating the same enemy who abused him in every way, well it's not about defending what Zhenya did but to imply that lawful (or anything like that) justice is impossible unless Taekjoo himself kidnap that mf and torture him to get back for everything he went through, so ig it's enough that blonde mf suffered with things he never experienced in his life and doing something to pay up for it.
I get your point. This a dark-themed narrative. However, it still doesn't erase the moral scale. And you’re kind of proving my point: if “lawful justice is impossible,” then what Zhenya experienced can’t really be called payback or karma either. It’s just consequences and loss of control. Saying it’s “enough” is more about emotional satisfaction than actual equivalence.
Well yeah ig ur kinda right, however the story itself doesn't even have a tiny bit of any moral scale that some people would want. I would say Zhenya's karma (even if it's not the average level of karma for some people) would be when Taekjoo forgot all his memories about him, and the character improved Zhenya getting scared and anxious if ever Taekjoo would remember all the abuse he had done that time when they used to be enemies who had to unalive each other, and if that would make Taekjoo change (which did happened) the way he sees Zhenya—the person he once agreed to share his feelings with, and Taekjoo calling out every shit he did then leaving him all alone, with all the emotions and shared moments they once had in the island without looking back, like just imagine the person who once used to be violent and emotionless finally having a person taught him emotions and treated him like a human, but then that very same person turned his back on him while refusing to acknowledge the moments they once shared together all because you used to abuse them. Zhenya just getting served for what he deserve.

What's happening? I've dropped this a long time ago, the only thing likeable is the art style , the story is ass
But can someone tell me when does the top gets his karma ?
