There is no miscommunication tho, Shuraka clearly tells Tei that he loves him and that he's all he needs and Tei is loyal and does everything Shuraka wants just as a "sacrificed" bride should do. U need to take in consideration the era this is taking place in and their status..it's not a highschool romance. And the plot is moving along just fine just that there is no smut. Maybe that's why everyone is so upset
Tei had been with the little boy. He has this odd sense of duty towards him. Then suddenly Shuraka cut off contact. Tei has that resentment and he knows nothing about Shuraka now. It will take time for him to warm up to him and see him more than just some duty or responsibility. Don't forget Tei was ready to back out from the marriage and let Shuraka marry with the King's daughter. In his eyes, it's inappropriate for Shuraka to be married to him where he can't provide him heirs and all.
And a setup like this, where even walls have ears and every weakness can be exploited...they can't have an open conversation for everything nor did they get the time to be with each other and speak their heart out.

How are comments always complaining about the lack of communication?!
