Come on, better to have atleast one story having mystery more than romance. Some are so rare that u really need to search for plot based stories. Remember, romance is in the end, only a Genre. Just like slice of life, fantasy, cultivation, drama, action and more. There's not necessarily horror in every story, same way romance is added so that being with a significant other signifies a happy end, BUT u don't need to be with another person. There are also those who died and came together (both ded yet spiritually together), those who adopted children at some point or lived their own lives single-handedly.
So if u wanna read something else, go read "Hundred stories of my own death" with exact 100 chps (completed), Mieruko chan (also has an anime, OP & ED songs are lit) and "The Day of Disaster" (gives Monster anime vibes) Won't say Romance is always bad, just that having a good mystery horror plot without it is delicious in its own way.

Well, I wouldn't mind romance pretty late cuz the mystery is really intriguing and it seems there's still more yet to be uncovered. Hoping that Author makes it more interesting.
