I just read the first chapter but couldn't help it anymore: who wrote this? Are you sane? I usually don't attack people but who in their right mind would make the MC fall in love with the step (maybe half) brother? Especially when that person literally told you "I never considered you my sister" before watching you die, treating you as a disgrace. Now you're telling me he meant he loved her as a woman, that he loved her to the point of madness...if you loved her so much you should have shown it. You didn't love her that much if no matter the pleading you refused to investigate and firmly believed her guilty of attempted murder...I would give even a stranger the benefit of the doubt, you could still condemn them after an investigation. She didn't eve ask to believe her and release her on her word but just to investigate.
