It really was, which is why I hate love triangles. It serves no purpose other than to anger and piss off half the fan base. This story could’ve easily been written as a story completely about TJ and Ian working through their past trauma and finally finding their way to each other after going through their own personal struggles. There was no reason for introducing Jo to the dynamic. I hope it ends there. There isn’t any need for side stories. The end!
Because the theming of the story is trash. It had a good theme at first. Creating contrast between Joseph’s life vs Ian’s and how Ian wanted that life as well as to appreciate the small things like camp fires and stargazing. Potentially moving on from an environment that created such heart ache. A relationship that had so much baggage from his past that it would’ve been refreshing if Ian let it go and everyone moved on And then all that was thrown in the trash. Now we got Ian not wearing their ring, Tj is still insecure, and Jo is glowing. In the end Jo’s purpose of the story was almost not important and served nothing.
Completely agree, and this would’ve made the most sense. Jo was completely unnecessary to this story other than further adding to the toxicity of narrative.
I love Jo but can't help feeling that his character was pretty redundant to the overall plot
