You didn't get redemption enough for him to forgive you at all... you stil being jerk, egoist, and now act pitiful to get him look at you. Can't blame Chiyoung, he like this jerk for so long he can forgive him and let it go for better. I know Chiyoung deserve to get his happy forever ever story.. but i still think it doesn't need to be with the ML. Since it's guideverse story, i know bond things can make the pair decided from the start.. but it's shame that they didn't give Chiyoung another candidate.
