He will need to kill them eventually since Barabas wanted the crown. In order for the crown to be bestowed and his wish to be fulfilled (getting Talia's eyes back), there should only be one surviving cursed couple. On a pragmatic sense, what Barabas did made sense. It's better to just take care of them at that moment than going back to them later after beating the others joining the 'game.'
Rapunzel could've gotten up due to adrenaline. Not sure how death works (I never tried it ) but maybe the logic behind it is the body takes it time before it completely shuts down.
My main issue for this manga is that the pacing of the story is kinda messy. We see Mikel about to fight and lose and then Rapunzel sacrifices herself to save him. But if Barabas knows the mechanics of their setup (and fate) it would've been pretty secure to kill Mikel, so the question is, how did Mikel survive after Rapunzel took the swing for him? I like the story so far but I hope it gets improvement in the pacing.
+ I think a couple isn't completely 'out of the game' when the cursed princess dies, base on what we've seen so far, it seems as long as one of them or the partner of the princess is alive, then they still have a shot at getting the thorny crown.
But another thing that's also bugging my mind are the curses placed upon the princesses. 2/3 of them somehow seems a bit vague to me to be called a "curse." If we tally the princesses we've met so far, we have Rapunzel, Cinderella, and Talia (sleeping beauty).
Cinderella's curse is depressing and the most straightforward so far out of the three princesses. All the people who loves her will hurt/try to kill her. It's also very "curse-like" since we see that the people affected by it just couldn't help themselves against it.
Talia's curse doesn't seem as ''curse-like" as Cinderella, but it also seems that her life as a slave who lost her eyes due to her multiple attempts at escaping could be considered her curse. And Rapunzel's curse may also stem from her naivety and excessive kindness (she literally learned that all the other princesses and their partners would come for their heads regardless if they refused to join the race for the thorny crown or not, but they still made the decision to not join, this is a guess but I think she's the main reason for it). However, we see in Cinderella's circumstances that the curses do have names, and that they should have a specific manifestation like mind control etc. In other words, the curses on the princesses is inconsistent.
I would still like to continue reading this but if these plot devices aren't elaborated properly then I might just also drop this It'd be such a shame tho, I really liked how it started
Dude I agree, it’s all over the place. Plus, idk if I missed something but I didn’t really see kruez and talias romance. It seems like they met and boom, spider boss battle. Like what? What is this pacing? Where is the story heading? And the silly 777 gamble typa divine zone code is so wack ngl. Feels like the author had an idea but doesn’t know how to execute it at all. #-.-)

I don’t get it, why did he have to stab Rapunzel? And how the fuck did she get up after getting hurt like that?! Imma still see where this manga goes but the plot is getting stupid. ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍
