To be honest your claim about people preferring uke Mc is also very correct because when this first was released on this site, there were many users dropping and complaining about why the Mc is an seme and how they didn't want to read from their pov and hoped it was from uke’s pov but to me it doesn't matter.
And I also don't really enjoy feminine version of uke, a lot prefer them for some reasons but yeah.. My recent favorite bl is red string. The uke is so buffed up and definitely stronger than seme too! (Seme is so pretty too but doesn't look like a woman so yeah).

well not really. how do i say this... each arc has different mc and ml, so it doesn't stick to one trope only, but the only thing that stay true is that every mc is top, and for some reason, if mc has pretty face in certain arc, ppl would prefer him to be bottom which is weird because why the person with pretty face has to be bottom? but overall the story is green flag

why do ppl love uke protagonist? personally, ive gotten tired of reading them. i also noticed ppl tend to prefer traditional frail looking uke and tough looking seme instead of the other way around (this can be seen by the latest arc and that one historical arc where the uke is emperor iirc) tbh i hate twink looking uke (yk, short, cute, feminine, has this (uwu) (>///<) energy around them), like if i want them to look and act like a girl in shoujo manga, i would have read something straight instead
