this...turned dark faster than i expected it to be. if you feel the chapter 1 was confusing or a bit boring, PLEASE JUST KEEP GOING. i promise you the plot is worth to stay. i didn't set any expectation towards this, but now i left with feeling fulfilled
first of all, the plot twist. halfway thru chapter 2, i guessed that "the bride" was some humanoid project (or something that's not fully human) cause apparently he got a big wound on this chest, because the title is literally SHIKABANE AND HANAYOME which translated as the corpse and the bride. but then he referred himself as hikaru, a woman, and he thought he'd bear a child for jin. AND I WAS LIKE??? was he a trans??? or was this some mpreg plot? LOL
then the story came unveiled in the next chapter. he has amnesia. he lived a life that's not his, and hikaru is a woman and she's alive. but she's trapped in the basement. then lee learned the fact that he's not human (MY GUESS WAS RIGHT). he thought he was hikaru because jin took him as bride to conceal the poison incident
but here comes another plot twist - which is who's behind the true perpetrator and the whole poison incident
jin's yearning is as clear as bright sky and the tragedy happened due to the misunderstanding from lee's side. i was honestly skeptical for incestuous plot but this one's an exception. you can really enjoy the story without noticing any big plothole. relationship between jin and lee would make you swayed even if you're not a fan of incest btw. the beginning of their relationship was built from irony; cause jin is a mistress' son and lee saw him endearing and couldn't help but falling for his step brother. i think jin's feelings was more of his attachment towards lee at first...but then it got mutual
(*)there's a reason why it's tagged as horror (**)everybody is happy at the end of the day
