I know right, people keep saying the male lead is shitty and needs to "grovel" but he's obviously a teenager reacting emotionally to someone who's constantly acting intrusive and creepy towards him because they think they know him from a version of him on TV when he was child, we don't even know if he wanted to be on that TV show or if his celebrity parents made him. And yes, he's being a bit mean but he doesn't owe her niceness, and if she truly respected him, she would have left him alone the third time he showed her his true feelings. she doesn't really like him, she just wants to live out a childhood fantasy and have the validation of being a popular kid's friend. it would be sad if it wasn't so invasive and pathetic.

If people don’t like how Kihyun is acting they would HATE me, I had someone like Goyoung once in my life which is also maybe why I’m feeling more intensely than most people. Just absolutely baffled by her insane way of thinking and how because it’s from her perspective she’s making herself so pitiful and “woe is me the guy I idolized doesn’t like me”, making Kihyun seem like an ass and people are actually just falling for this narrative
So my thing is I come into this expecting unrequited love that becomes requited, and the appeal of it is that someone who gives someone else their all ends up being heartbroken but their love was so pure it broke down the walls of the said love interest and through a lot of angst they get together (I have abandonment issues go figure), but it’s hard when I genuinely can’t blame the ML and if anything IM ACTUALLY ON HIS SIDE. The FL is so parasocial, I understood it when she’s a kid cause kids are dumb but how is she in middle and high school and still thinking like a bird? “His true self really is like the TV” “im jealous” ADMIRING A WHOLE ASS PEN WHEN U GET HOME JUST BECAUSE HE PICKED IT UP FOR U. Doing a whole ass monologue and letting him live rent free in your head meanwhile HE DOESNT EVEN KNOW WHO YOU ARE and if he does know ALL HE KNOWS IS THAT YOURE THAT ONE KID WHO STALKED HIM AND ACTED LIKE IT WAS SO NORMAL. AND THEN YOU KEEP GLANCING AND STARING AT HIM? If the roles were reversed people would be so quick to be like “omg this guy is a creep” “eww” but because it’s the FL and it’s from her perspective people are acting like Kihyun is the damn devil for not being particularly a ray of sunshine when from his perspective she’s incredibly weird and making it so obvious she’s only this focused and obsessed with him because he used to be famous. I don’t even know if she’s self aware of how truly weird she is because she just keeps thinking “ahhh no one likes me because im so awkward” “ahh see he and I are from different worlds im just not apart of that group” “I have no friends” she’s not actually acknowledging full stop HEY. WHY DO I EVEN CARE SO MUCH ABOUT THIS GUY WHEN IVE NEVER HELD A PROPER CONVERSATION AND INTRODUCTION? I CANT even blame him for tossing the note and chocolates cause I would too. At the very least offer it to him and talk about it somewhere more private if you can’t just talk to him face to face. But anyway im curious to see where this goes. Btw i lowkey ship Doyoung and Goan instead, their relationship is actually normal, with both of them starting off with fresh introductions and NO WEIRD PRECONCEIVED NOTIONS OR OBSESSIONS and they have 10x more chemistry than the FL and ML.
