True. I think the main issue is his eyes. They look dead inside in some panel. Like he went through countless cycle of life & death like some other manhwa ("The 11th School Trip" for example). :P
Also don't help that he is very analytic as it make him even colder.
And lastly, on the other hand, you have the most expressive character beside him where you can read everything on his face. The contrast make accentuate each other "quirk".
Personally I don't think it foreshadowing anything - I mean I don't think a plot twist about him being a sociopath is coming - but it's just the author went a bit too heavily to make this "contrast" happen.
Am I the only one who feels the relationship rn is a bit odd? The MC barely shows any expression even when tops are a bit aloof they still show interest or when characters are just generally a bit emotionless cuz of their personality the artist still shows their emotions in other ways
