this is just my interpretation of what may or may not happen so just skip this if u don’t wanna see it please !!
so i’m kinda used to the trope . they have a shitty relationship then miscommunication trope , then they eventually get back together .
i think , joo will attend the match because of dan and the promise dan asked him to keep but because of his jinx he may or may not lose . but i have strong belief that joo will win the match because that’s what dan wants for joo and dan is actually joo’s jinx.
i think . despite the outcome of the match , joo will realize that he loves dan , like in actual words . and will return back to the hospital to accompany dan’s recovery.
joo will realize that boxing is his life but now dan is too, so he might quit / retire boxing or become a mentor / trainer for boxing . just like joo’s mentor , etc . (similar to bj alex where alex quit his streaming profession to focus on his love life)
after the end of it maybe we get some scenes of the side couple but dan and joo will be okay .
