It does end in happy ending because MC is someone who bravely faces his problem even if he is naive. I didn’t understand what you mean with the spoiler about ML thinking Mc was his child what? Anyway as far as I read ML was abused and then he decided to weaponize his body in every way and get rich by buying all the mines and ships for transport.
