Yes, same. Human minds like to be hero in their story. The fact that they live in a post-apocalyptic world, means they have some trauma. To survived in that world they must have witnessing some horrible things. Plus memory aren't always reliable, ppl can recall things differently when there is trauma they are trying to suppress ( like maybe the MC. being the one to kill their dad)... but this is just a theory lol.
