Mc is his daughter (as they are pretty much stuffing it down our throats) but due to mc powers (or her mom's) they were transported to a whole other dimension instead of dying in the sea storm. The other dimension had a very different time flow than her actual dimension and due to them being in a different dimension and that their souls are in the wrong place for two years caused issues with the mom causing her to die. The trauma of losing her mom caused her powers to awaken teleporting her back to her original dimension and that's why no matter how much the dad looks into her past he can't find anything as she practically teleported out of nowhere!! And the reason on why all the spirit kings loves her is due to the fact that mc's soul is extremely special due to her powers letter her cross dimensions!! Let me know if I got anything right!! <3
