She sacrificed herself. The tempels Cameras showed how she was the one who went up the mountain. Kailo found the letter she wrote for him near the rift and also understood that she died to save him too.
He wanders through the country and does mercenary work und suffers hard bc of her death. Someday he found a way to bring her back to life through the amulet or something like that. I don't remember the rest, sorry. But it was nice to read.
It's alright. They can change the ending. I even think I will like this one more!
