By making the top a divorce attorney, this would have been the perfect opportunity to explore how something like divorce would work in an omegaverse world. We see happy relationships or abusive relationships all the time in these stories, but rarely do we see stories where an omegaverse pair has an option of splitting up, and this would have been a great chance to explore how that would even work. I’ve always imagined that after they finalized the divorce, they are lawfully obligated to undergo some kind of medication or shot that will neutralize the pairing pheromone? Wish there were some stories that explored this. The closest I’ve ever seen to separation/ divorce was in an omegaverse story I read a long time ago where alphas had the ability to erase the power of their bites if they didn’t want their partner anymore. Which was interesting. But here? Instead of using their imagination, they made the most rushed, half-baked tripe imaginable. You can tell the author REALLY didn’t want to write this.
