Yeah I stopped reading too at maybe chapter 20ish (whenever her boyfriend was revealed to be an asshole). Honestly, I doubt anyone cheering the ML on has a fully developed brain. Or they are aware that everyone sucks (which is valid in a story) and chose the lesser evil? Idk.
Additionally, this is why i am apprehensive with Korean smut. 99% of them (and many manga but it’s kind of improving) has rape (to begin a relationship) or dubious consent.

This is why I want the US/Euro publishers to stop shunning smut. I will have a much better time reading smut from US/Euro authors because I’m there audience. Korean authors write for a Korean audience and for some reason coupled rape is okay by them in “fiction?” Idk…point is, the writing doesn’t have the values westernized minds would appreciate—again because we’re not the audience.
The tropes are the same for manhwa smut too. Asshole bf, FL gets saved by rich sexy ML who has a high libido and a big dick.
Honestly, try manga. It’s not 100% better but it’s better. I prefer smutty manga than smutty manhwa.
The only way to get smut here is to support an indie author Kickstarter/patreon.
