I liked the story, but it felt like after a while, everyone lost their depth of character.
Like once someone isn't in the story anymore/interacting they are complete strangers.


I felt like everyone but Mel and Dominic lost their personalities at some point and all of their personalities were "we like Mel". Dominic was at least consistent in his personality.

Like her ex fiance and his sister. It seemed like he was kinda hurt that his sister thought of him as a cheater, but after that its like they're complete strangers. His sister wasn't even hurt that he was going to be executed. I thought it would have been interesting to see him regret it in some way and choose his sister. It also bothered me that his sister didn't care he was going to be executed. He didn't even seem angry. Sheria used her as a pawn. It also didn't make sense why he thought he would become king to me. Didn't seem like there was much motivation for it.

Also, Danny like why isn't he a part of the story more? Why even create this character if basically the only thing he did was to make sure the fl and ml wear matching necklaces???

Mom/Dad/Sister/Ex all kinda just didn't matter after the bs they did. You'd expect mentions here or there of it as these were major villians. But it was neither here or there and it almost seemed like it wasn't a big issue that happned.
