Wow all girl wanted was a father who looked at her, a brother who didn’t beat her, and the freedom to reciprocate the feelings of the first guy who was nice to her. All she really wanted in life was to be respected and loved. She’d clearly would have cherished that life even if it could only exist in the slums, with empty bellies and exhaustion.
