Not enough people are talking about how the symbolism of green is so prominent through the whole story, only for us to find out Matthew is colorblind. I feel like I have to reread the story now to understand what Matthew is actually seeing, and if he is interrupting things correctly. Also, the pill being red, stark contrast of green is also just another great touch. What an amazing read.
