I feel as though, she thought that because he had sex with her. he felt differently towards her. After she went back into the past, you saw that he just wanted information on what happened with his aunt. Like the end goal was to prove that his aunt was innocent. They always think it’s gonna be different, just because it’s them. Like spend that man’s money, and treat them accordingly simple. Fuck that love shit. I had somewhat of high hopes, being that it’s the same author from what it means to be you. I can honestly see how the story is gonna unfold tbh.

She did try to remember about what happened before, she just told him to have a better relationship and remember what she forgot. He told her that because it has been 10 years, his family was on the decline just because of that. Nobles probably didn’t want to help because her family holds the power. He has said that she doesn’t want to remember to protect her family. They showed us that she was at a crossroads, being that she already lost a parent figure and she doesn’t want to lose another.
Honestly, I do love stories like this, but this one just pisses me off, and I’ve only read seven chapters. To me, it makes no sense that a commoner could be a concubine for the king and there’s no pushback from the nobility, and then even if the heir has common blood, he wouldn’t live in peace. The nobility would’ve pushed for their daughters to be concubines just for the possibility that their daughter could one day produce the heir, so that alone makes no sense, because the empress comes from a powerful family.
Also, say what you want, it was a political marriage. Did you expect anything different? In manga/manhwa, she would get cheated on either way. And honestly, the cheating aspect of it just comes off like miscommunication that wasn’t cleared up, and me personally, I wouldn’t have cleared up anything, because bitch, it’s been 10 years. I was forced into this. They didn’t care that my family was in decline, they were actually happy. Follow the ways of those times, she would’ve gotten cheated on. So for her to think that he was going to love her and cherish her is so stupid. If she had come from a loving and devoted family, I would get why she would want that, because that’s what she’s used to seeing, and I would love that she wants to have that for herself.
