its so cool the fact that kali never had to care about being a “pathetic leader”, or having fragile trust, because her overwhelming strength was enough to instil fear into both their opponents and even her own crew. they both protected, and unsafe, under her watch, and everything must go her way.
but even then, the cool thing is she’s still a character you can sympathise with. she still smiles so charmingly what the heck? how can you (as a reader) want her dead?
what an amazingly written character, to have one personable characteristic, wanting to give a gift to someone, be enough to drive readers to cheer on for her.
