There’s no general consensus, they’re both horrible. So it’s subjective really. Personally I think reverse thinking is worse. Every chapter is a new form of torture and I hate the ML. Pretty sure non zero sum’s ML is a sociopath, unlike reverse thinking ML who’s completely aware and sentient of his doings. At some point in the OG novel, he makes the MC do sexual acts with a dog…. With non zero sum, it’s just the same rape scenes over and over again so I got used to it, and I find the plot and psychological aspects a lot more interesting.
i was thinking the same thing. i feel like the only reason why i was able to stomach reverse thinking was because i knew juyeon had somewhat of a valid motive, and while i don’t think his past completely justifies everything he’s done in the present, at least it gives the audience something to hold onto and makes it easier to sympathize with him a little, which i’m assuming is what nzs lacks
that makes a lot of sense, i’ve also read the reverse thinking novel and there were definitely scenes that were more difficult to get through than others. as for non zero sum, i’ve probably shelved it for over five months now out of fear that i won’t be able to sit through it, but i do enjoy consuming media with heavy and dark topics. i guess it’s more of a matter of personal tolerance for me

for those who have read non zero sum and reverse thinking, which do you think is more violent and gruesome? i know they’re both in an entire league of their own in terms of toxicity but what’s the general consensus
