Bro I read can I take it back and this manga separately- never realizing that this was the manga that was plagiarized from lmao. The thing is, I would’ve never noticed at all if people didn’t screenshot and put panels side by side. I think it’s cause the similarities are pretty small compared to the entirety of the story. The explanation posts people said the copying was done in only 3 episodes out of the entire manhwa. It really reminds me of windbreaker. It’s such a shame cause even a little bit of copying in some episodes can ruin the entire story people have done for years.
Tbh I do think all the phrases and poses the artist used to copy from are pretty basic phrases/poses done in millions of manga. Realistically none of the phrases and poses are original. The only different is that the artist decided to put everything in the same order and from the same manga, which made it stand out as copying.
At first when people were talking about how, Can I take it back author, plagiarized this manga, I thought it was a severe case like tracing tons of the art or taking the entire plot of this manga and using it for the second couple of their manhwa. But that wasn’t the case, it was a lot smaller than I thought. Doesn’t look like they traced, they mainly used poses from some scenes and a few phrases. I do wonder if these authors could’ve been saved from having their works canceled if they just straight up announced/noted in those chapters that they were heavily inspired by the other works. Because to me at least, using poses as references is super common even in comics.
