I seriously get tired of these stories where people are whispering around the FL and she hears it and just stands there not saying anything. Or when someone comes up and is disrespectful and they just stand there meek and mild. I know it’s just how things were done back in the day, but I’m sure there were some who opened their mouth when someone said something outta whack. And besides, these authors have the power to write whatever. Why must they always write the FL allowing people to just say what they wanna say???!

Does anyone know of any historical Isekai stories where the FL opens her damn mouth and doesn’t let ppl walk all over them or talk about them?

One more thing: she’s originally 30. Why is she still so childish when it comes to men? Maybe it’s bc I’m so old. And I understand being bashful, but girl come on. In chapter 3, they’re in the Inn, getting out of the rain and she’s having a fit in her mind that they’re alone together. Girl, you’re originally 30….30!

I think it’s more of a thing where defending herself might make things worse. Also, she’s someone who’s originally sheepish and without much confidence so a topic that she’s still quite sensitive to can be difficult to talk out against. Making a big thing out of it can be more of a hassle especially if the easiest way to shut people up is to just continue on with their lives and show that she’s worthy or happy or whatever. And regarding her “childishness,” I think it’s a thing of chastity culture back in the day. Obviously the story doesn’t make use of how strict it actually used to be, but the mentality is still there. She’s inexperienced and has low confidence, once she gained more experience she stopped acting like that. Personally, I’m turning 22 soon and haven't ever been intimate with anyone so I’d be pretty nervous being alone with someone I like and admire too despite the kind of stuff I read and know.
