I actually think it’s neither. He was a call boy before, so I think it was her reminding him of his status, and that she is his benefactor—the only thing that can provide for him. So it could basically be another way of controlling him, I think this suits her personality more. It seems like they have a master-slave relationship, and she’s warning him to not step a toe out of line, or else he’ll go back to how his life was before he met her.
Wait can someone explain why her mom let him go to the party and get drugged? Was she simply testing if he would cheat? Or allowing him to cheat so he doesnt get bored? She mentioned something about 'dogs need to be walked every once in a while so they dont forget' so I'm assuming it's the latter?
