I was absolutely shocked when I opened the comment section. I do have a unique view on this because of my field of work, but it should be common sense that he's being motivated by something other than sexual gratification.
And even if he wasn't traumatised and Yohan wasn't an abuser and so forth, he wouldn't be a slut just because he slept with a few people???? He isn't even in a relationship????
Yes yes yes! im an english major so character analysis is literally a full time job for me! this story, and no insult to the author, is easy to understand, so people's willfull ignorance to the MCs trauma is just out of plain homophobia and prejudice. ironic, because theyre reading a story about homosexuals.
and although its easy to understand, the story is still compelling and obviously very thought out. this isnt a case of another horrific smut manwha trying to pretend its more than it actually is. we're in the exposition phase, nowhere near the climax, so why are people acting like we're gonna get the ending, the character development, and romance in one go?? we're only 20+ chapters in, the people in the comments cannot be serious!!

As much as his actions confuse me, MC is at the end of the day someone who was embroiled in an abusive relationship. In combination with his family's values and the situation at home, he can't be expected to act rationally in regards to his emotions. He is convinced Yohan loved him, and appears to blame himself for his death for some reason. It's the same desperation that drivers victims back into the arms of their abusers after they've managed to escape.
