i’m pretty sure “kibi” is basically a ship name their friends made by combining their names together. since this is a translation, the exact name doesn’t translate perfectly, but that’s the idea.
for example, if two people named “carol” and “andy” were shipped together, people might call them “candy.” so “kibi” is kind of the same thing :D

what an absolutely lovely read. i found myself heavily relating to the version of jeong in highschool. depressed, felt isolated in my family… all of the negative emotions there. it’s brutal and i literally had to take breaks because i understood too much of where he was coming from mentally. funnily enough, moving out was also my dream and became my solace. my relationship with my family also improved upon moving out. distance helped a lot for me and im glad to see it helped for him too.
this was such a lovely well-written warm-hearted story. the art was cute and consistent. the translations, although not official, were fantastic too. truly can tell there was heart and soul put into this. my one grievance is i wish the side stories were a bit more adult. just a bit. but, it was a wonderful light hearted read. like a warm bowl of soup. or when a cat lays on your chest (like mine is right now lol).
