its part of the plot trust me（/TДT)/ but if you are dropping because you don't want to wait its understandable because the novel is over 500+ chapters and the manhwa is not even close to the character development part
I won't say she has zero empathy and is completely lazy. It might seem to you that way but..if you read further you'll come to know her character better. She's a self-proclaimed king, she's cold and indifferent most of the time but she actually cares. She always takes responsibility for her people too. She helps out when there's real emergencies and when she's needed. The government is putting up with her shenanigans cause she's that important, and they can deploy her for difficult gates. Like that level 1 rift when she debuted, i read that after such subjugations she ended up seriously wounded multiple times and took months to get better again, and she was a kid. The main reason she's doing this whole closet superhero thing..ig you know, but it's heavily influenced by her dad. She doesn't want trouble, she hates expectations of others..also, wants to keep her family safe. Overall, she is..a bit of a selfish tyrant king...but it'll get better, trust. Especially when she reveals her identity and openly engages in many things(⌒▽⌒)

Don’t get me wrong, I love the manhwa, it’s new and refreshing, everyone has a likeable personality except the mc. I find her character so unbearable especially when she’s such an op character but she has zero empathy and sooooooooo lazy too
