It is, the anime is more advanced.
Decent-ish, the novel is better, but the anime feels better than manga imo (the manga art style really ain't doing this justice). It's not Solo levelling/Frieren/Witch Hat Atellier level of animation, but it gets the story across and the landscaping is painting-esque
