Looks like they changed some part from the novel. Novel spoilers say that FL was a found out to be a saintess. The brother made a plan using holy water she used her powers on to wake up their father. But the crown prince heard of the fact that she was a saintess and could use that as a way to force her into marrying him. The brother chose FL over waking up their father and told her of the crown prince’s plan. FL said he could do whatever and wake their father up. The dad woke up and now he has to live regretting for the rest of his life, thinking it would’ve been better if he hadn’t woken up at all.
The crown prince did give up on his plan after being rejected and seeing how happy she was with the ML. He decided he was satisfied with seeing her happy.
Ngl I prefer the dad being woken up, especially since FL has the same thoughts that him falling into a coma wouldn’t make him suffer and regret. Him being awake would.
