fr tho. I think this jjk fandom is worse. I usually don't even care. I had people called certain ship didn't make any sense but that's all. They moved on and i also have few I don't like and i just move past it. Idk why these people make huge deal of this? It's just a doujinshi. The mangaka can draw whatever they wanted. It's huge mess on Twitter too. Why are people fighting over this? Do they have nothing to do in their life?
Yes, they clearly have nothing else to do and yes the fandom is worse than many and I say that as an anime only, not a manga fan.
Also, though, I think it's mostly because these people can't accept that others are different to themselves. Like I mentioned above, it's OK to be passionate about dynamics but to try to not even correct a fact but CHANGE someone's harmless opinion (especially when that someone isn't open to it being changed) is useless. A complete waste of time. Anyone with half decent life experience knows this. These people aren't mature no matter their age
So like, as someone who has been on the Internet for a long ass time, this isn't the first time I've seen people fight over smut dynamics. Although, I've had ships where the dynamics are obvious and the overwhelming majority agrees, I've more so had ones where there's more of an even split. Like satosugu.
Now, I honestly couldn't care less that people disagree with my personal smut/ship preference, but what does piss me off is the immaturity of some (not all) of you in these comments and on other platforms too. So here are some words addressed to specific groups of people on this matter.
To people saying having preferences is lame:
Please grow up.
For some, smut dynamics are just about who sticks their dick where. It's about who doms/subs or tops/bottoms, about what's hot and that's cool. But for many, smut dynamics tend to mean that PLUS ship dynamics.
For many, it's about their characterisations, their overall relationship dynamics, the foundation of the ship entirely. The more you get to know the ship, the more you find your smut preference (or your lack of one, ie. vers or platonic) and the smut preference is a manifestation of how the characters function as a couple. It's not 'just sex'. It's a natural process of shipping for many, a reflection of real life, so trying to tell people that having a preference makes them a fake fan is not only surface level and short-sighted but incredibly telling about your maturity level.
To people arguing over their preferences:
Please grow up.
We all have the same ship, we all watched/read jjk and realised the beauty of their ship. We all love their interactions in canon, we think they suit each other the best. We. Are. On. The. Same. Side. And yet you guys keep us at odds. I'm a gego fan through and through, but I respect everyone who is a goge or vers or even platonic shipper because they get me. I relate to them because we ship the same ship, love the same duo. There is no hate in my heart. We're on the same wavelength, it's just a different colour.
Think of it like your family member who has that one opinion/habit you can't stand. Sure you don't like it, but they're still close to you by virtue of them being family. You have to accept that you can't change people, especially when it's got to do with something as finicky as taste/attractiveness/arousal. You can't talk someone into liking raspberries (for example) unless they want to actively try to start liking raspberries, and even then, they might still never like raspberries. You shouldn't want to force them either because unlike with a family member, this opinion hurts literally nothing and no one.
So stop writing 'but they aren't homo' under a goge animator's tiktok, stop pming a gego fan that they should prefer switching to be a real shipper, stop trying to get the last word with a vers shipper in the replies by telling them you think vers is stupid, and STOP putting me on the side of a civil war I didn't even start!! Yeah? Thanks.

I study and work full-time, that's a fact, not an exaggeration. But, as I said in the beginning, this is a constant issue. I see it everywhere when I want to look at comments and interact with my ships fandom in anyway and it's such a bummer I can't stand it. I want us to run around holding hands, spinning in a circle. Not arguing over something that no one will change their minds over.
