Some medical tubes do get placed like that. It is actually very common
That's a cannula, its purpose was to deliver a small amount of oxygen in the body.
It is place like that in the nose, that's not a feeding tube because feeding tube are placed inside the mouth.
This is what I love about being a graduated nurse student, being able to have the chance to educate ignorance

Nasogastric (NG) tubes (nose to stomach), Nasoduodenal (ND) tubes (nose to small intestine), and Nasojejunal (NJ) tubes (nose to middle small intestine). Or basically cannula
Lmao, I had to take back some part of what I said but it still could be cannula considering that he suffered blood lost which can impact oxygen circulation or nasgastric tube feeding since he's basically comatose
