Im a little confused, just what happened?? He saw the future?? Or is happening for real?

After han maru connect to his own consciousness, the door of the gate open then a flashback happened (the one with the captain and the new chairwoman) and then the white haired-guy came out of the door in real time (the white haired guy is the one who were kept in the basement and said to be the doom of all humanity)
