lowkey? the fight was extremely anticlimactic, i expected more. not really into the boxing genre myself but being over this fast was just too simple, man. i wanted to be on my toes, keep me guessing who might win, but this was anything but grand

I disagree. It was very satisfying. I think I would have been pissed if that piece of shit landed even one blow on Jaekyung.

doc dan nearly died. if jaekyung allowed that asshat to even land a hit after learning what he did I would've thrown my phone

To be fair, Jumin only won because Jaekyung was injured because of that acid burn fucking with his ankle the first time around. Hell, the reason why Dan got stabbed is to throw Jaekyung off because Jumin knows he can’t win in a fair fight. It probably would’ve been a longer fight if Jumin didn’t basically blab that he had a role in the stabbing and set off Jaekyung’s murderous rage.

The fight isn’t the real climax, it’s Jaekyung choosing Dan over fighting. We already had been set up from when we met Jaekyung’s first coach that it will be a time that Jaekyung going to have to find something more important than winning because he’s not going to be able to fight forever. Jaekyung had been wavering for a while because he doesn’t want Dan to go, to the point that he even thought about withdrawing from the fight to just to buy more time with Dan, and now fighting almost took Dan’s life.

But I get it because I do like the MMA parts of the manhwa though but I also get why Mingwa doesn’t want to dwell too long on the fight because it’s a romance manga first and foremost.
