Blaming the Uke

Daemon May 3, 2026 12:02 am

Sorry but the conversation in the comments blaming the uke for resenting his child is actually insane to me.

So apparently resenting the unborn fetus of your abusers child that is a magical being like his father - and your abuser - whereas you are a puny and ignorant human held hostage by these magical creatures and used and abused till you get pregnant. Even then, despite not having a body built for birth, this dumbass abuser of yours still treats you like shit. You are essentially an incubator with no will of your own, only you're being treated like shit the entire time.

Leaving aside the fact that the uke had no idea that his baby would internalize all his resentment, he also doesn't resent or harm the kid once it's born. In fact, he's trying very hard to be good parent ans help his baby.

Meanwhile your ancient sire is still stupid as hell. IDK, the whole thing comes across very victim blaming to me. Yes, mothers/birthers can sometimes resent their children. Not even the child themselves but what they represent like trauma from being abused and treated like shit by the father of your child. It's a different thing if the thoughts continue to perpetuate and increase in intensity to the point of action in real life against the child, but that is obviously not the case here.

Motherhood is difficult, especially for SA victims. Dunno why that points to some huge moral failing on the mothers part, especially when there are very much actual problems fo resolve.

(apologies in advance since I only read the first part of your comment)
Where have you seen people blaming the uke? I don't think I've seen a single one yet.

It was only a single comment thread but the sentiment was sort of brewing of not blaming the uke outright but implying his actions and/or emotions were incorrect. Besides, I just wanted to make it clear that parents, especially the ones giving birth, can have a variety of emotions regarding their fetuses, even negative emotions, and none of their emotions are incorrect, especially when they don't act on them in the end. Also, I just wanted to whack the seme one last time.
