I also have doubts on what the dynamic is between the kid emperor and Rere because it seems like they'd get together in the future, at least that's what I feel from the vibes they give off, when in fact they're half siblings.
Like, ain't that messed up. Even the secret behind Rere's birth is not even mentioned as much in the story. I don't know if the kid emperor is even aware of it and they just left it off for us readers to forget or figure out. They keep adding these extra elements when they're not even gonna be that helpful in the story's plot.
Also, the romance between the Female Lead and the Male Lead just bloomed without me knowing and the next thing I know they're pregnant. I doubt I even saw them confess their feelings to one another.
