MY THEORY.

my theory about this story is based on sadness.

i think the blonde man has a terminal illness, which is why he returned to the female lead's school because she's the last person he loved and wants to watch. he doesn't want to accept her love because he knows his life won't last long, and he's afraid he'll only end up hurting her in the end. that's why it's titled "Life" or "Death," shaping an unrequited love driven by fate, loss, and an inevitable goodbye.
