If you are basing this assessment on the grounds that riette is a normal person with misumderstood/ twisted love. then you are badly mistaken. Its better to think of her as a literal monster that is incapable of human cognition. A serial killing psychopath has more humanity than her. This is not me dissing her (tho i do dislike her) but I honestly feel a repulsion everytime she is near noah or the mc.
I think she same what was going to let him live his life but maybe the fight with the jellyfish reset her but worse. I would think him being a dragon give him enough power to make her chill. But I guess it's her twisted mind/personality
S classes are stated to genuinely just not be human, human standards don't mean shiet. All born s classes are exactly like riette, just with more restraint. Hyunjae doesn't hurt yoojin because he finds that boring, yoohyun doesn't hurt yoojin cos he wants to do the protection and doesn't want yoojin to be strong, not to mention he almost does on multiple occasions. All born s classes exhibit that narcissistic behavior, so I dont get why you're so angry. Thats like getting angry at predators for eating prey, it's in their nature.
She isn't protecting her brother in my perspective. It made have been at first in her twisted way but at this point it looks all about control. She is deliberately hurting him physically and mentally. She says it's cause he protects the weak and relies on the weak. Sure it does show especially even his skills are support type. But is that really bad? So far the ppl he had protected and befriend hasn’t been having evil intentions. Seems she just doesn't want to be without him while he happily lives his life with others comfortably. The bad influence and reputation she has is the only thing that could keep him in danger. Beside he is with other S class rankers that don't really rely with sketchy methods of income. So shouldn't she be happy her "weak" brother is living in a secure environment? I would be happy to see my siblings living well with ppl with good reputation,security as well as supportive ppl. They are clearly helping him trained to be strong with his own abilities and be able to control them too! It would be less nerve-wracking to know the responsibility of my family safety isn't just on me. The more I think of her behavior just sets me off that she just has a narcissistic view.
