Basically, the mother was from a different timeline. She went back in time before giving birth to Chesa because she didn't want her husband and sons to see her suffering in her final moments due to the church's experiment even if it meant that Chesa would be alone after her death.

This is purely on why i think they have a huge age gap despite her still being born even without her father around, i suspected the mother to must have use her fairy powers to turn back time or some shi- to actually give birth safely to a fairy daughter and that was the time when the father said that her mother faded. I don't know the reason why the mother would go back in time but for all we could know that fairies don't have the ability to turn back time and that the little things i know for now is that they can use illusionary dimensions, confusing... i knowww!!! I haven't finish it yett
