Is she stupid and inconsiderate?
Totally, but she's naive with A LOT of trauma. It's expected that she would be this closed off as a person, with very little knowledge on how to treat others well. Obviously, a person's past doesn't excuse bad behavior, but you also gotta be realistic about people capabilities in their upbringings. She's learning, and becoming more honest as a person. That's good enough.
