exactly! and it's like this irl too. so many people do bad things but get excused for an absolutely unacceptable reason. like how a rapist will most likely be overlooked bc they were raped themselves. like genuinely, there is no excuse for rape, hate crimes, terrorist attacks. if only this and most other stories wouldn't romantasize it...
