I did like it but… it feels like they managed to not have a single meaningful conversation during the whole story?! It was frustrating. My god. Not to blame the victim here but Leewon knows how crazy Caesar is and still picks all the wrong dialogue options EVERY SINGLE TIME. At some point it was obvious what would trigger Caesar’s insanity. You’d think he’d know better after getting literally SHOT multiple times after trying to leave that one time. “I tried to leave so you wouldn’t be in danger” yeah man try to explain that to the crazy obsessive mafia boss with abandonment issues BEFORE he hears it from someone else.
We got a few moments of Leewon thinking “oh yeah Caesar didn’t have a normal life so I get why he’s like this” and things could’ve been easier if he actually said those things out loud. I wish both of them had a chance to talk about Caesar fucked up childhood and his fucked up relationship with his father, then maybe the we could’ve witnessed some actual progress in that relationship.
Something that also bothered me is that I feel like it ended without a satisfying “I love you” from any of them. The relationship felt a bit one-sided until the end…
and no comment about the assassin stuff because they also fucked that up and ended everything too abruptly. wow didn’t mean to rant for so long i guess the story frustrated me a lot more than I thought
