it’s because he saw someone with the same tattoo as the guy who made him run drugs as a kid and killed his biological parents, and tried to kill him, and it made him remember his shitty childhood and he wants to kill that guy and help the kids who are being forced to run drugs like he was. Also, he didn’t expect the inside of ML’s house to be as heavily surveilled as it is, there are literally cameras everywhere, filming 24/7, including one in his bedroom, and all the doors have passcode locks and that basement area is even more heavily guarded with special locks and stuff. Basically, job is harder than he thought and ML and his past in korea are messing up his head
The first few chapters set mc up to be this really good hitman but like he lowkey sucks at his job all he’s done is go to parties, yap in that bathroom, ask really suspicious questions, constantly distracted by memories of his past and wasn’t he supposed to look for that safe? Ml is at least somewhat interesting but I don’t think it’s enough to keep me hooked ╮(￣▽￣)╭
