But it says the tournament is to pick the Shahbanu's knight though? Tei is the Shahbanu and Shuraka is Padishah. So aren't they choosing a knight for Tei?? Or is the translation off?

I mean the translation is probably correct but I was just sayin this cause at the beginning of the chapter tei is practicing with his sword, so I thought it could be foreshadowing him to participate in the tournament for whatever reason he has (not sure why) but that’s just my take I could be wrong (●'◡'●)
