Ml is obviously not in the right headspace & mentally ill. He may be selfish (definitely because of his obvious undiagnosed mental illnesses) but Dae is right where he wants to be Everyone around ML kept telling him that Dae conned him and of course he believed it because, once again, he’s not in the right headspace. Sure, what he did was not good but he literally apologized for three damn hours and Dae forgave him
Even if dae forgave him, is all what he did okay just cuz he apologized for 3 hours? And you're right the ml is mentally unstable so just as I said dae deserves a better STABLE man. Just cuz the ml been through traumatizing stuff doesn't mean he gets to assault and treat dae like shit. He knows himself that there's something wrong with him but he's not doing something change, even if his condition is harming dae, is that really love???? And his apology is trash threatening to hurt yourself? He's just trying to make himself feel better rather that actually apologised for what he did. In the end dae will be better off without him.
