at some point Yor(u) mentions "night jobs" organized by the Circus Master, which I think were.. /that/ and also, he's not really traumatised cuz 1. it's apparently quite normal 2. the living conditiona (for the high quality ones) didn't look that bad and it's better than starving on the streets 3. he probably viewd it as his punishment for going along with the lie although he didn't have a choice
Oooh thanks I didn’t pick that up at first - but it’s entirely entirely glazed over still :/ like yeah it was a lie but it wasn’t exactly the biggest lie? Many people in entertainment lie so it just feels a lil… disengaging. Like they just show horned the whore house aspect of it and his sex work without it actually needing to be part of the story.

Pros: i really liked that even with the whole whore house thing it’s never in the forefront that he was a prostitute - his prostitute past doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things which is nice becuz the seme also never comments degrading stuff nor those around him - he’s just a dude
Cons: he’s somehow more traumatized from being revealed as a human than having been sold off to the whore House??? Like yes I like that it’s not super important to the story - as in their relationship seme never cared - however as a plot point I feel like he definitely shoulda idk…. Been a little traumatized by that? Like it’s really not brought up in that way at all and you get the sense it’s common in their world but he legit was SOLD OFF and he’s not the tiniest bit thoughtful of that.
