First, I'd like to appreciate the story — beautiful portrayal of the religious motifs and religious metaphors in general.

After reading the chapters where it (finally) showed Go Yohan's POV, I've realized that he is the way he is thanks to his bastard of a father. I am not defending his actions AT ALL. It's just Go Yohan is such a peculiar person with a peculiar thinking and I thought you might wanna know

It was mentioned that when he was in grade school, his father hit him with a glass trophy so hard in the head, he developed a mental illness called "sick in the head" /jk

Then was disguised as falling down the stairs incident type shahh. He would've been a prodigy or maybe like Jun if it weren't for the incident coz it was implied that he was infact intelligent

The mental illness is actually TBI (Traumatic brain injury), which made him impulsive, has mood disorders, personality shift and aggression (it wasn't mentioned in the novel that he was diagnosed with this, but it's likely that he has it)

Anyhow, what intrigued me the most was how he though of Jun from the first time they met. Imagine my shock when he kept imagining/dreaming of Jun being vulnerable and when I meant vulnerable, beaten up, crying, begging and whatnot. He wanted to see him cry to the point of doing murder and all the way getting off to it.

Like wdym just because Jun walked passed by him during the time they crossed paths made him so humiliated he thought of strangling him to death, a typical craziness right?

And so began his "saving himself from the devil" where the devil was Jun as he embodies evil, where he, as a servant of God must save himself from it.

Then later on labeling Jun as a poor lamb that he will "rule with love" just because he's wasting his life infatuated with the devil which is now Han Junwoo. He did say to help him that far then discard him lator on, saying Jun's all boring, "you get fed up after a few times of playing with him"

Which summarizes how fucked up he is thanks to his father and his brain but mostly his father, why built so hot and so dada when he's actually a sunovabih

But kudos to Yohan, he lowkey matured :)
maybe getting hit by the acid def changed him yo
