I agree but when i remember she has post trauma on everything and everyone i can see why she does that inside she is still that little jid how want someone to love unconditionally and she just doesn't know how to find that person / doesn't believe he exists but still she hope
Yup, ik why she acts stupid I just really really really can't stand characters who act stupid, which is why i hate Eren from aot. Ik why they're that way but I'm not gonna like them very much. With the fl here I actually do find her quite adorable so i like her because she's redeemable
I see people both slandering the fl and indiscriminately protecting her, but two things can be true at once.
To start off with, theres like nearly nothing to suggest the legitimate princess/fls sister is evil, and when people jump to that is very often just sounds woman hating
Secondly, everyone in this story acts accordingly. Varcas acts understandably considering the abuse the fl inflicted on him, the legitimate princess acts accordingly considering she was a child when fls mum replaced hers, not saying that's the fls fault I'm saying any child would react the same. Her older brother acts not reasonably, but the way he acts makes sense considering his personality.
Onto the fl;
I completely get why she acts the way she does, I truly do, but people are absolutely right when they call her whiny or stupid because as much as I love her and feel she's a complex character, that doesn't take away from the fact that oftentimes there's very easy solutions to her problems. She never speaks when it counts and only ever speaks if its to scream at someone and dig herself a deeper hole. When she was dealing with the campsites nothing was stopping her from telling varcas why she wanted the campsites moved instead of acting like a petulant fool and slapping people left and right. She then complains he didnt ask why she wanted to move campsites, but after seven years of tantrums, her image as an unreasonable brat would be cemented in his mind. She cant expect him to get up one day and decide she's smart.
Her situation is trash, and she's making it shittier by doing things that can easily be turned into negative rumors against her. She should use her looks to her advantage, not by being a seductress, but by pretty privilege. She has a face gorgeous enough for people to give her the benefit of the doubt and forget all she's done if she just shows a smile, and it's not that hard, but she let's her pride come between her chance to become powerful. She complains about how she can never be like her mother, so it annoys me because what do you expect? You have no real power, you can't expect things to just go the way you please. Everyone is already sick of you because you have a shit reputation, so what do you expect to achieve by continuing to act in a way that you know will make people even more fed up of you?
